AccuForce has immediate, temp-to-hire openings for Utilities/Pipelayers for Water Services in Kingsport. Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures (hot/cold).
Details:
- $16/hour
- Hours: Monday - Friday / 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM with overtime available on the weekends as needed. Will also be placed on a rolling “on-call schedule” (usually one week at a time)
Duties include:
- Performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks using hand and power tools (shovels, rake, drills, blowers, saws, etc)
- Set-up, maintain and operate traffic control (include flagging) for work zones
- Ensures all tasks are complete in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs tap installation using pipe tap machine
- Assists in operation of high-pressure pipe cleaning equipment
- Will be installing new utility piping and making repairs on existing pipe. Will be assigned other duties as required by the job.
Qualifications:
- Previous construction or utilities experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently
- Following safety procedures,
- Knowledge of using hand and power tools in construction/maintenance work
- Must be able to perform manual work requiring periods of physical exertion and adverse weather conditions
- Will be standing on feet, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Requires Steel-toed boots
