Ai Insurance Services is seeking an experienced, Commercial Insurance Account Representative to join our growing independent insurance agency at our office in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role is for a licensed commercial insurance professional who enjoys working directly with clients, servicing policies, and helping individuals and businesses find the right insurance solutions.The ideal candidate must hold an active South Carolina Property & Casualty Insurance License and have prior experience working in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to existing policyholders
- Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, and coverage questions
- Quote and bind new insurance policies for personal and/or commercial lines
- Review client policies to ensure proper coverage and identify cross-selling opportunities
- Work with multiple insurance carriers to find competitive coverage options
- Process endorsements, certificates, and other policy servicing requests
- Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system
- Follow agency procedures and insurance regulations
- Support the agency team in meeting sales and service goals
Qualifications Required
- Active South Carolina Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Prior experience working in an insurance agency or insurance-related role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience working in an independent insurance agency
- Familiarity with agency management systems and rating platforms
- Experience with personal lines and/or commercial lines insurance
- Must hold a current Property/Casualty Insurance License
- Strong analysis skills to assess client needs and recommend appropriate coverage options
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build trust and close deals effectively
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client populations but this is no required for this position
