About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, licensed Aesthetician to join our growing optometry and ocular wellness practice. This unique role combines advanced aesthetic services with dry eye wellness treatments, providing patients with comprehensive facial rejuvenation and eye health solutions.
The ideal candidate is experienced in medical aesthetics, enjoys educating patients, and is comfortable operating advanced aesthetic technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside optometrists in a professional healthcare setting while delivering high-quality aesthetic and wellness services.
Responsibilities
Dry Eye & Ocular Aesthetics
- Perform aesthetic treatments that support dry eye management and eyelid health
- Assist in patient education regarding ocular surface disease and wellness treatments
- Conduct patient consultations and treatment planning
- Document treatment outcomes and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with doctors to develop individualized treatment plans
Facial Aesthetics
- Perform customized facials and skincare treatments
- Conduct skin analyses and recommend treatment protocols
- Recommend professional skincare products and home-care regimens
- Provide anti-aging, acne, pigmentation, and skin rejuvenation treatments
Body Contouring & Wellness
- Perform non-invasive body sculpting treatments
- Monitor patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Educate patients on treatment expectations and maintenance programs
Device Operation
Operate and maintain advanced aesthetic technologies including:
- Radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening and rejuvenation systems
- Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) devices for skin rejuvenation and dry eye-related treatments
- Dynamic Muscle Stimulation Technology (DMSt) body sculpting systems
- Other aesthetic and wellness equipment as introduced by the practice
Business Development
- Build long-term patient relationships
- Promote treatment packages and membership programs
- Participate in marketing events, social media content, and community outreach
- Help grow the practice's aesthetics and wellness service line
Qualifications
Preferred
- Experience with Radiofrequency (RF) treatments
- Experience with IPL technology
- Experience with body contouring and muscle stimulation devices
- Experience in a medical spa, dermatology, ophthalmology, or optometry setting
- Knowledge of dry eye disease and ocular aesthetics
- Sales and retail skincare experience
