Black Knight Patrol is a full service private security company looking for RELIABLE and competent unarmed ODO Security Officers with a professional disposition and appearance to control and maintain a safe environment while providing protection and excellent customer service to our clients. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or any other criminal activity. Our security officers must be well-trained in surveillance and de-escalation when dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will demonstrate disciplined attendance, confidence, respect, and authority, as well as possess a high level of both observation and professionalism. Schedule
- Monday-Friday 0900-1700hrs
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people into properties
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the premises
- Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
- Submit daily reports of surveillance activity and incidents
Qualifications
- Current Law Enforcement Officer employed with a California Law Enforcement Agency
- Prior security officer or guard experience
- Previous customer service
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
- Trained in First Aid
- Current BSIS Guard Card
- Current BSIS Firearms Permit
- High School diploma or equivalent GED required
- Valid Driver License
- Must speak fluent English; other languages a plus
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to run
- Full function range of motion in all major body joints including reaching, twisting, bending, simple and power gripping, fine and gross motor skills
- Exposure to various weather conditions, confined spaces, and wet, dirty surfaces and walkways
