We are seeking a highly skilled Electrician to join our manufacturing facility’s maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment across the plant. Your expertise will help maintain optimal production performance, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including low and high voltage equipment, motors, drives, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, multimeters (including ammeters and ohmmeters), and other precision measuring instruments.
- Repair or replace defective components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, sensors, and wiring to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Maintain and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records for all maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Conduct diagnostics on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and support automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Assist with mechanical repairs involving hydraulics, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and other industrial equipment.
- Support field service operations by responding promptly to equipment failures or emergencies to minimize production disruptions.
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage work, lockout/tagout procedures, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing failure patterns and recommending upgrades or modifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance electrician within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanics, electrical systems (including low voltage and high voltage), hydraulics, and welding techniques.
- Proficiency with schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC programming basics, and CMMS software.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters accurately.
- Experience working with industrial equipment such as scissor lifts or other aerial work platforms is preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
- Relevant certifications in industrial maintenance or electrical work; military experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance tasks.
