We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance their comfort and independence
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Support medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and medication administration under supervision or as trained
- Implement safe patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to prevent injury
- Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring accurate medical documentation in EMR/EHR systems
- Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments
- Assist with specialized care needs including hospice, memory care, geriatrics, pediatric care, or trauma-related services in hospital or long-term care settings
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification or HHA license with current state registration
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or patients requiring specialized care such as Alzheimer's or dementia care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR) certification
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices and assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts
- Strong communication skills for caregiver-patient interactions and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Prior experience in settings like hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or home care services is highly desirable
- Physiology knowledge relevant to patient assessment and care planning is a plus
