Position Summary: To ensure that all golf needs of guests are met and that their golfing experience exceeds their expectations by providing excellent service and hospitality.
Essential Duties: Greets all guests and thanks all guests for visiting our golf course. Stages golf carts in the staging area ready for play. Ensures that golf carts are prepared for operation by manually testing brakes and steering, checking tire pressure and filling sand bottles. Place a golf service request form on the steering wheel and does not send golf cart out if mechanical problems are found. Meets guests and provide bag drop service, cleans their clubs before the round, explains all facility features, services and check-in procedure. Provides transportation to the golf shop from the parking lot. Assists with golf cart preparation by loading golf cart with a welcome card and a pencil. Assists the golf shop with any duties that may arise.
Repair golf marks and pick up trash on the course. Empties trash receptacles when necessary. Changes water in ball washer as needed. Cleans and secures picker and all equipment. Notifies the golf shop of any damaged equipment. Immediately reports any cart damage that is noted to the golf shop. Ensures that all carts are returned, inventoried, set up for charging and secured. Ensures that all lost and found items are returned to the golf shop. Ensures that all rental sets are returned complete, cleaned, and secured. Always maintain control over the golfers while they are on the course for the benefit of all who play. Adhere to the rules and regulations that are set for our guests. Cater to our guests needs, keep the golf shop informed of pace of play on shotguns and split tee play, respond to radio calls immediately. Maintain proper equipment and keep in radio contact with the golf shop.
Travel golf course in a counterclockwise manner to locate gaps quickly and solve potentially large gaps before they occur. Diplomatically solve guests’ problems and issues, calling the golf shop for assistance when necessary. 2 Greets guests after their round, ensures they had an enjoyable experience, cleans their clubs, provides transportation to the parking lot. Offers a warm and sincere good-bye and ask that they return soon.
Be observant, report anything unusual to the golf shop including holes in the fence, broken water lines Maintains cleanliness of golf carts. Maintains personal grooming and appearance standards Performs any other duties that are necessary for the successful operation of the business.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feels objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds to shoulder height repetitively. Must be able to operate a golf cart and other equipment in a safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this include close vision, distance visions, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Environment: Indoor and outdoor working environment. This individual may be exposed to the following on a daily basis: Inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers; misdirected golf balls; sharp and rapid equipment movements, moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Injury may occur as a result of exposure to the above if safety procedures are not properly.
