American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with Epic on weekend night shifts.

Critical Care Float Pool position in a hospital setting
-
Nurses float across multiple ICU units based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU

Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Schedule: 3x12-hour weekend night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), with one additional weekday shift per week

Epic EMR proficiency required

Telemetry monitoring required

Ventilator management required

IV start skills required
-
Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management required

Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; coworker references are not accepted

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more

RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after contract signing — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible upon receipt
