Job description:
The Guest Service Agent is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while performing all front desk operations, including guest check-in and check-out. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in ensuring a positive guest experience from arrival through departure.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently
- Register guests by collecting and verifying required information, including contact details, stay dates, and room types
- Welcome guests upon arrival in a friendly, professional manner and assign guest rooms
- Provide guests with information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, services, and amenities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of reservations, room assignments, and payments
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are clean and ready for arrivals
- Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally
- Communicate any guest concerns or operational issues to the direct supervisor
- Answer incoming calls using excellent telephone etiquette
- Restock and maintain the Eat & Sip market, including inventory checks and product rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, ensuring supplies are available and surfaces are clean
- Assist with reservations, modifications, and cancellations as needed
- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Ability to use a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred, but willing to train
- Excellent customer service attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Understanding of how travel planning and booking websites operate
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
