Primary Function:
The Engineering Intern will be utilized for LEAN manufacturing processes, updating facility drawings, technical writing of Ampacet processes and procedures, and selectively for capital improvement projects.
Responsibilities:

Building and documenting LEAN manufacturing processes with local team

Technical writing of work instructions and safety procedures

Will use CAD/SolidWorks tools to create Plant Drawings, Facility Flow (how the utilities are laid out), Electrical Drawings, Sub-Assembly Drawings, Part Drawings, Production Layout Drawings

Assisting Maintenance Manager with project management

Communicating and confirming project deadlines
-
Providing project progress reports

Responsibility level will progress with experience
Minimum Qualifications:

Must have completed at least one year of college in Industrial Engineering or a related program

Experience with CAD 2D/3D

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

Technical writing experience

Project management experience

Must be safety conscious, adaptable, and dependable

Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision

Demonstrates exceptional teamwork

Possesses high levels of motivation and optimism with an action orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

3rd or 4th year college student pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
Part-Time, expected to last 6 - 12 months.
