Duties
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services
- Conduct route driving to visit retail stores, clients, or distribution points efficiently and safely
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, upselling, and personalized service
- Manage automobile transportation logistics, including safe loading, heavy lifting, and adhering to safe lifting practices
- Apply pricing strategies to offer competitive quotes while maximizing sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during all driving and transportation activities
- Maintain organized records of client interactions, sales data, and route schedules for optimal efficiency
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving or commercial driving preferred
- Proven retail store experience or customer service background demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math for pricing calculations and sales transactions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during product handling or merchandising tasks
- Strong organizational skills to manage route schedules, client appointments, and documentation effectively
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and automobile transportation standards is a plus
- Exceptional client communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and confidently
- Prior experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities in retail or direct sales environments
