Christian Private Practice | Part-Time or Full-Caseload 1099 Opportunity
Christian Counseling of Tampa is seeking several licensed therapists and/or Florida registered clinical interns to join our established group private practice.
Most opportunities are intended for counselors who want one to three consistent in-office days per week. We may also have room for one counselor who wants to build a larger or full caseload.
Opportunities are available at our South Tampa and North Tampa offices. Because most of our clients currently prefer in-person counseling, applicants should be interested in maintaining consistent in-office availability. Telehealth may supplement an in-person schedule.
About Christian Counseling of Tampa
CCST serves individuals, couples, children, teens, and families who are seeking clinically sound counseling within a Christian practice.
We are especially interested in counselors with experience or interest in serving one or more of the following populations:
- Men, adolescent boys, and fathers
- Couples and marriage counseling
- Children, teens, and families
- College students and young adults
- Anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or EMDR
- Clients seeking appropriate integration of Christian faith and clinical care
Applicants do not need to specialize in every area. We want each counselor to build a caseload that fits their training, experience, and preferred client population.
What CCST Provides
- Established, furnished offices in South Tampa and North Tampa
- Intake coordination and administrative support
- Practice management, billing, scheduling, and documentation systems
- Marketing and referral development
- Flexibility to establish your availability within currently available office blocks
- Telehealth options to supplement in-person counseling
- A collaborative team of counselors with different specialties
- Opportunities to grow from a limited part-time schedule into a larger caseload
CCST actively markets the practice and routes appropriate inquiries based on counselor specialty, office location, availability, and client fit. Because this is an independent contractor opportunity, no specific number of referrals or completed sessions can be guaranteed.
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid as a percentage of collected clinical fees. Compensation is fee-for-service rather than hourly. Indeed requires a pay unit, so the listed range reflects expected compensation for a completed clinical session and is not a guaranteed hourly wage.
Actual compensation per session depends on the client fee, service provided, counselor credential, and applicable volume tier.
CCST is primarily a private-pay practice. Some independently licensed counselors may also be eligible to receive insurance-supported referrals, depending on credentialing and client needs. Registered clinical interns should expect to work primarily with private-pay clients.
Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes, professional liability insurance, license or registration requirements, and other professional expenses unless otherwise specified in their contractor agreement.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following active Florida licenses or registrations in good standing:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
- Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, RMHCI
- Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern, RCSWI
- Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, RMFTI
Applicants must also:
- Work within their education, training, and scope of competence
- Exercise appropriate independent clinical judgment
- Complete timely and clinically appropriate documentation
- Communicate reliably with clients and the administrative team
- Maintain professional liability insurance
- Be comfortable integrating Christian faith into counseling when requested and clinically appropriate
- Respect client autonomy and avoid imposing spiritual content

Registered clinical interns must maintain all Florida supervision requirements and identify their current Board-approved qualified supervisor. Any needed changes or additional supervision arrangements can be discussed during the interview process.
Evening, Friday, and Saturday availability is especially valuable, although daytime opportunities may also be available.
