Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to support laboratory operations in a Free-Standing Emergency Room (FSED) setting.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical laboratory experience and be comfortable performing Point-of-Care (POC) testing in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing accurately and efficiently.
- Process and handle laboratory specimens according to established procedures.
- Perform laboratory testing and document results accurately.
- Follow quality control, safety, and infection-control standards.
- Operate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Report critical and abnormal laboratory results appropriately..
Required Qualifications
- ASCP certification required – MLS, CLS, or Medical Technologist.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Clinical laboratory testing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Point-of-Care (POC) testing experience.
- Emergency Department or Free-Standing Emergency Room experience.
- Experience with laboratory quality control and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
