We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support production operations by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, packaging, and manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced food production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, motors, transformers, relays, sensors, and production equipment.
- Install electrical wiring, conduit, power distribution systems, control panels, and new production machinery.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled equipment, instrumentation, packaging systems, and process control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Utilize electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment failures.
- Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and preventive maintenance activities using CMMS/EAM systems.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, Confined Space, and OSHA requirements.
- Support production changeovers, continuous improvement initiatives, and provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance personnel.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and plant productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician License (Plus).
- 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, motors, drives, sensors, and automated production equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, Arc Flash safety, and industrial maintenance best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience using CMMS/EAM systems for maintenance documentation.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food manufacturing, bakery, packaging, or consumer goods manufacturing experience.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and continuous improvement teams.
