Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Drive assigned routes confidently, adhering to schedules while maintaining safe driving practices on highways and local roads.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately, including delivery receipts, logs, and route reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during trips.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck to ensure optimal performance throughout your shifts.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks;
- Proven experience in freight delivery, including load & unload procedures across different trailer types such as refrigerated units.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo securement.
- Strong route-driving skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
