Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated , dependable and energetic Per Diem IV Infusion Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide expert intravenous therapy and infusion services to patients across various settings, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care . This flexible opportunity is primarily available on Mondays and Wednesday and offers a rewarding clinical environment with a strong focus on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions, including medications, fluids, and nutrients, following physician orders.
- Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and vital signs monitoring before , during and after infusion procedures
- Educate patients on infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-infusion care instructions to promote understanding and comfort
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatments and follow-up care.
- Monitor for adverse reactions or complications during infusions and respond promptly with appropriate interventions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards throughout all patient interactions.
- Qualifications :
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with current state requirements.
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Proven experience in IV infusion therapy, including IV insertion and catheter care
- Experience in Rheumatology, oncology, immunology, GI, or outpatient infusion setting
- a plus.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Carecloud, Nextgen Epic, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation
- Ability to work independently with excellent assessment skills and attention to detail
