Sign Industry and Production Associate & Installer
Signarama Camarillo, the world’s leading sign and graphics franchise, is seeking a Sign Production Associate and Installer to join our team or a full or part time basis.
Must be organized, detailed and self-starter with a “can-do” attitude. Ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and determined to produce high quality work on every project.
We are looking for a production associate and installers for outside signs, dimensional letters, window lettering and vehicle graphics.
You will be responsible for following detailed renderings and physically producing signage products. This includes preparing substrates, cutting, weeding, and applying vinyl graphics as well as operating the C&C router to manufactures cut letters and logos. You will also operate the large format vinyl printer, plotter, laminator and various other shop machines. Once signs are completed you will install signs in the field.
Duties
· Production and assembly of vinyl and full color graphics that can be weeded, cut, applied, printed and mounted to various substrates and/or vehicles.
· Duties may include the installation of a variety of signage including banners, posters, channel letters, window graphics and vehicle wraps.
· Assemble and fabricate signs, banners, graphics
· Loads and operates plotter and laminators
· Learn and operate C&C router efficiently. We will train on all equipment.
· Proficient with hand tools and power drills for installation of signs in the field
· Some installation projects may require the use of ladders or personal lifts.
· Help receive and manage inventory of substrates
· Assist in workflow, department process improvement and planning
· Attention to detail and high-quality work standards are a must.
· Interact with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner
· Must be able to work independently and mange work-flow with excellent time management skill.
Required Skills & Experience
· Preferably 2-5 years of experience in printing, production and design. We are willing to train as needed.
· Experience with large format printers and C&C router is a plus
· Previous sign or print industry experience preferred but not required if willing to learn new skills.
· Sign installation and vehicle wrap experience is a plus
· Learn and apply a full understanding of sign fabrication
· Highly motivated, detailed oriented and creative personality
· Excellent communication and customer service skill
· Prompt, reliable and responsible
· Able to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Employment
· 3-month evaluation period – Learn shop procedures, build proper skill sets as needed.
· Competitive compensation depending on skill levels
· Typically, regular working hours, although overtime may be required during high seasons or to meet deadlines as needed. Time to time flexible hours to work in evenings and/or weekends.
