General Duties
You will perform a wide range of diagnostic, maintenance, and repair tasks, including but not limited to:
- Preventive maintenance and routine service
- Advanced diagnostics using vehicle computer and electronic systems
- Repairs on gasoline and diesel engines
- Work on brake systems, suspension, steering, ignition, and driveline systems
- Transmission, differential, and clutch repairs
- Fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic system repairs
- Upgrades, performance mods, and aftermarket accessory installations
- Maintaining accurate repair logs and keeping tools/equipment in top condition
Role Summary
You will be responsible for identifying issues accurately, completing repairs to a high standard, and ensuring maximum reliability and functionality of customer vehicles. Excellent communication skills are expected as you may advise customers on repair needs, maintenance schedules, and recommended services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a working automotive technician (required)
- Strong diagnostic skills with modern tools and systems
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components
- Ability to operate standard shop tools and heavy equipment (lifts, etc.)
- Commitment to safety procedures and cleanliness
- High school diploma preferred
- Automotive trade school, apprenticeship, or certificates preferred
- ASE certification is a strong plus
