West Branch Community Schools is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year for the anticipated opening:

AA or BA. Previous experience in a health care area preferred.

Understands job procedures: knows CPR first aid, special health techniques.

REPORTS TO: District Nurse, Building Principals and Superintendent
JOB GOAL:
Work cooperatively with all building staff to assist the management of support services in order to enhance the morale of school district personnel, promote the overall efficiency of the school system, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Gives minor first aid to ill and injured.

Medication Administration.
-
Contacts the school nurse or designated person in case of major illness or serious injury.
-
Contacts the parents of the ill or injured student in accordance with established health office policy and, if necessary, prepares the student to be transported.
-
Confers with school nurse regarding student absences for health reasons.
-
Records and communicates with teachers and other personnel regarding disposition of students sent to the health office.

Charts student visits to health office with outcome in PowerSchool.
-
Other duties as assigned.
