HIRING FOR THE 2026–2027 SCHOOL YEAR (through June 2027)
Position Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, reliable, punctual, and flexible Site Staff to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, staff will lead groups of 10-15 students in TK and Kinder. in engaging, hands-on enrichment activities while also providing daily homework support.
Site Staff are expected to arrive on time, maintain a safe and positive learning environment, and help create a fun, educational experience for all students. Additional duties may be assigned by the Site Director as needed.
Schedule and Pay
- Availability: Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (must be available every day during these hours)
- Pay Rate: $19 per hour (non-negotiable)
- Ideal for: College students seeking a consistent part-time schedule
General Requirements
- Experience working with TK–8th grade students
- Reliable transportation
- Strong punctuality, dependability, enthusiasm, flexibility, and resourcefulness
- Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and academic levels
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic child development principles and practices
- Safe classroom and outdoor activity procedures
- Classroom management techniques and appropriate student conduct
- Basic record-keeping and communication skills
- Correct English usage, including grammar, spelling, and vocabulary
- Policies and procedures related to assigned programs and activities
- Basic computer and software operation
- Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, patience, and courtesy
- Health and safety regulations
Commitment
Candidates must be available for the full 2026–2027 school year. Intersession work is not guaranteed.
Essential Duties
- Build positive relationships with students and communicate effectively
- Demonstrate leadership and a passion for educating and empowering youth
- Apply age-appropriate classroom management and behavior support strategies
- Assist with daily attendance tracking
- Transport supplies to and from school sites
- Serve as a positive role model and encourage respectful social interactions
- Maintain student health and safety by following established procedures and best practices
- Independently lead groups of 10-15 students in TK and Kinder.
- Participate in required staff training, including Classroom Management training
- Review lesson plans and implement activities effectively
Physical Demands
- Use of hands and fingers to operate classroom and office equipment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch while assisting students
- Visual and hearing ability to monitor student activities
Work Environment
- Indoor classroom and outdoor activity settings
- Frequent interruptions requiring flexibility and adaptability
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a background check and TB test
- Must complete required Department of Social Services online training within 90 days of hire
- Ability to actively participate in physical activities with children, including walking, running, and jumping
