Cannabis Cultivation Laborer
Job Summary:
The Cannabis Cultivator Laborer supports the cultivation team in the day-to-day operations of growing and maintaining cannabis plants. This role involves a variety of tasks, including planting, watering, pruning, harvesting, and general maintenance. The laborer ensures the cultivation area is clean and organized and assists with ensuring plants receive optimal care.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Care and Maintenance:
o Assist with planting clones and transplanting clones.
o Water plants according to established schedules and monitor soil moisture levels.
o Prune, trim, and train plants as directed by the lead cultivator.
o Apply fertilizers and pest control measures under supervision.
Harvesting and Processing:
o Assist in the harvesting of mature cannabis plants.
o Help with drying, curing, and trimming harvested cannabis.
o Ensure harvested plants are processed efficiently and meet quality standards.
Environmental Control:
o Assist with monitoring and adjusting environmental conditions such as
temperature, humidity, and light.
o Ensure grow rooms and greenhouses are kept clean and free of pests.
Record-Keeping and Compliance:
o Maintain accurate records of plant care activities, including watering schedules
and pest control measures.
o Follow all safety and compliance protocols as directed by the cultivation manager.
General Maintenance:
o Clean and sanitize cultivation areas and equipment regularly.
o Assist with the setup and maintenance of cultivation equipment and systems.
o Perform other duties as assigned by the cultivation manager or lead cultivator.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is preferred but
not required.
o Basic knowledge of plant care and maintenance.
Skills:
o Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
o Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
o Basic understanding of plant biology and growing techniques.
o Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
o Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and standing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
