Learnwell is seeking an elementary teacher for a two-day-a-week (T/Th or M/W) or possibly four-day-a-week (M-Th) position.
Learnwell Collective is a private Christian hybrid school in south Forsyth County, Georgia. Students on our North Georgia campus attend school two days per week, and work at home with their parents for the remainder of the week. The Learnwell Navigator program supports homeschooling parents outside of the north Georgia area by providing lesson plans and coaching.
Here are a few advantages of teaching at Learnwell:
- Teachers develop and share with parents a 4-day/week lesson plan.
- Learnwell teachers emphasize mastery in their lessons for school and home. Elementary students receive quarterly qualitative progress reports, but not traditional report cards or grades. This gives teachers the freedom to vary assignments among students as/if needed, and gives parents the freedom to teach their children using highly personalized strategies.
- The Learnwell team is highly collaborative. Learnwell teachers have a high degree of input on everything from academic practices to school traditions and in-school events.
- The Learnwell REACH program provides academic enrichment for every student in areas of giftedness or high interest. REACH challenges are offered in particular areas at school periodically, and other activities are available for at-home school days.
- Social Studies and Science are taught in multi-grade clusters. Teachers rotate responsibility for teaching these subjects.
- Daily devotions are also experienced in multi-grade clusters of all elementary students or K-2 and 3-5.
- The Learnwell team earnestly partners with parents to provide a high-quality education for their children. We treat parents with respect and as true partners in everything we do.
- Bonuses are paid to Learnwell teachers based on enrollment and retention, and generous scholarships are available to children of faculty members.
- Learnwell has a high retention rate of faculty and staff. Positions are available as we grow from one to two two-day-a-week cohorts.
