Associate degree in HR or related field preferred. Previous experience in HR or safety administration required. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality. Familiarity with HR and safety regulations, laws, and best practices.
Ability to move freely inside and outside the plant. Moderate physical activity, such as walking, climbing, and lifting when inspecting facilities and equipment. Computer – eye strain and wrist strain. All items on the essential job functions checklist met.
- Schedule and conduct monthly safety training for all employees. Follow-up to ensure all employees complete training.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, including proper use and maintenance of PPE.
- Help implement best practices focused on safety in all departments.
- Help conduct accident investigations, safety inspections, audits, and assessments.
- Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports and safety training records.
- Attend all safety webinars, training, and meetings.
- Ensure the new hire orientation process is complete. Conduct safety training with all new employees.
- Assist HR Manager with worker’s compensation claims, as needed.
- Ensure all EHS postings and other forms are up to date.
- Update safety data sheets as we receive them and conduct an annual review to ensure all are up to date.
- Assist with work area assessments to determine the presence of hazardous conditions such as noise exposure, chemical exposure, indoor air quality, light levels, confined spaces, and ventilation.
- Assist in promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
- Assist with the wellness program, including documenting and tracking reimbursements to employees.
- Assist compliance manager with documentation needed for various audits.
- Understands our Environmental Policy, our significant environmental aspects, their contribution to our Environmental Management System and the implications of not conforming to the Environmental Management System.
- Understands our Quality Policy, our relevant quality objectives, their contribution to the effectiveness of our Quality Management System and the implications of not conforming to our Quality Management System.

- Assist in maintaining sewage treatment program
- Assist and maintain regulatory and compliance programs PFAS, CPAM, Prop 65, REACH, Rolts, POP, Rare Earth and work with Quality Manager and Sales as needed.
- Update and maintain, run forklift arriving program in accordance with OHA best practices
- Update and maintain all ISO tool documentation and work with QA Manager to ensure compliance in addition to all other environmental task.
- Preform all annual drills to include documentation processing.
- Update, run, maintain safety program with industry last models, OSHA best practices
- Manage annual safety budget
- Assist and maintain physical security of IT.
Reports to the HR Manager. Interacts with plant management team and all employees on a regular basis.
