This is a great opportunity for an entry level or experienced Medical Biller. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented team player, excellent communicator, proactive, thorough and flexible. Medical billing experience preferred but not required. Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills preferred but not required.
Responsibilities consist of verifying eligibility and benefits, following up on claims filed, following up on denied claims, posting payments, reconciling accounts, providing back up for front office and other tasks as needed to complete the billing cycle. Medical Billing Assistant will communicate effectively (English and Spanish) with clients to resolve outstanding balances or resolve discrepancies on accounts.
Skills needed include proficiency working on computers including Microsoft / Outlook / Chrome / Google Workspace / Quickbooks online. Must have good verbal skills in Spanish (preferable) and excellent verbal skills in English. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. Must have thorough understanding of office management procedures including HIPAA. Must possess ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to communicate and work well with others. Must practice professional customer service skills.
Hours are flexible between 8 am to 5 pm, days may vary, for about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is an in-office position.
