TITLE: Admissions Coordinator
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Administrator
Summary
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the process of initial admission inquires and placement.
Essential Functions

- Assesses potential clients to determine the appropriateness of potential residents and patients for CSP. Responsible for coordinating inquiries and converting them into admissions, as possible. Provides prospective residents and/or responsible parties with appropriate information and assistance.
- Coordinates with all departments to verify readiness of room, meals, medications and special services upon the residents’ arrival. Ensures that the resident/patient room is cleaned and prepped appropriately before arrival.
- Assists in obtaining resident medical records and resident medical information from hospitals, doctors office, etc.
Required Skills/Abilities
Consistent execution of quality customer service. Ethical conduct. Able to effectively communicate with geriatric and/or confused residents and a variety of other people such as family members, visitors, vendors, Private Duty Residents, and staff. Positive and constructive attitude. Comprehension of medical terminology, advance keyboard/computer skills. Basic working knowledge of office equipment such as copier, printer. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Working Environment & Physical Demands
This position is required to regularly work on campus.
Works in a well-lit and well-ventilated facility. May be exposed to confused, belligerent or physically aggressive residents, may be exposed to contagious diseases and mental stress. Manual dexterity, good vision, hearing required. Subject to frequent interruptions. Manual dexterity, good vision and hearing is required.

Required Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Training and education in health care management, medical social work preferable.
- 2 or more years of experience in long term care, Medicare/HMO insurance authorization preferred.
- LPN or CNA experience preferred, but not required.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license required.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
