Macanda is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy crafting exceptional cocktails, and take pride in delivering memorable guest experiences, we'd love to meet you.
As a Bartender at Macanda, you'll play a key role in creating an inviting atmosphere while preparing beverages with precision, engaging with guests, and maintaining the highest standards of service. In addition to our dining operations, Macanda hosts late-night DJ events, entertainment programming, and special activations that create a vibrant nightlife experience. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable delivering elevated hospitality during dinner service and high-energy service during late-night events.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, excels at multitasking, and brings a positive, team-oriented attitude to every shift.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and providing thoughtful recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout service.
- Accurately process cash and credit card transactions while following all cash-handling procedures.
- Manage multiple orders efficiently while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Support bar operations during DJ events, special activations, private events, and other high-volume nightlife experiences.
- Maintain professionalism and composure while working in energetic, music-driven environments.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, cocktail bar, fine dining restaurant, nightclub, lounge, or event-driven hospitality environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to remain composed and organized during busy service periods.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Experience with catering, private events, festivals, or hospitality activations is a plus.
- Comfortable working in lively, high-energy settings that include late-night DJ performances, entertainment programming, and special events.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night shifts as required by business needs.
