Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a positive attitude
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food preparation to ensure safety standards are met
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations accurately during transactions
- Support team members with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining a clean environment
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or nightclub setting
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills
- Background in food handling, sanitation, and basic math for cashiering tasks
- Prior host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus but not required
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial for understanding menu items and preparation processes
