American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license

Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week

Position is located in a hospital NICU setting

Neonatal patient population, including monitoring intake/output and supporting breastfeeding initiation
-
5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required
-
Holiday coverage required on an every-other basis
-
No floating requirements

No on-call responsibilities

Epic EMR experience required

Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)

Current certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and NRP (American Heart Association)

Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience

Epic EMR experience required

Level 1 Trauma experience required

ASN required; BSN preferred

Responsibilities include monitoring neonatal intake and output, assisting mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care, administering medications via barcode scanning, and reporting during multidisciplinary rounds

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
