Position Summary:
The Collections Specialist I is responsible for the daily collection of past-due Recreation Lending loans. This role helps manage delinquency within acceptable target levels while ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and management guidelines.
Essential Functions:

Maintains delinquency levels within assigned loan portfolio in alignment with established target rates.

Monitors assigned accounts and keeps management informed of portfolio status, trends, and potential risk areas.

Performs skip tracing activities on accounts as needed to support collection efforts.

Ensures collection activities comply with applicable federal and state collection laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Completes assigned daily workflow accurately, timely, and in accordance with department expectations.

Understands and complies with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the Bank and the role.

Escalates operational issues, potential policy violations, code of conduct concerns, regulatory concerns, or suspected illegal activity as appropriate.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
One (1) or more years of experience in collections, customer service, or a call center environment required.

Experience managing or supporting a similar loan portfolio, with an emphasis on sub-prime lending, preferred.

Experience applying general accounting fundamentals, business practices, or banking principles required.
