We are seeking a skilled Luxury Yacht Service Technician who is passionate about boating, committed to technical excellence, and dedicated to delivering an ownership experience that exceeds expectations.
Position Summary
The Yacht Service Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, commissioning, and maintenance of luxury yachts while serving as a trusted technical advisor to our owners. This role requires exceptional mechanical and electrical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities / Deliver an Exceptional Owner Experience
- Provide concierge-level customer service with professionalism, integrity, and responsiveness.
- Build trusted relationships with yacht owners by clearly communicating service recommendations, repair progress, and preventative maintenance needs.
- Ensure every vessel is returned in immaculate condition, ready for immediate enjoyment.
- Coordinate closely with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, and Parts Department to deliver seamless service experiences.
- Represent Sun Country Marine Group with professionalism both at the dealership, marinas, and customer docks.
Technical Excellence
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and marine systems aboard luxury yachts.
- Perform preventative maintenance, warranty repairs, seasonal commissioning, and decommissioning.
- Conduct detailed inspections and pre-delivery commissioning of new Riviera and Sunseeker yachts.
- Perform dockside service calls and sea trials when necessary.
- Install factory and aftermarket equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain complete and accurate service documentation and warranty records.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards, ABYC best practices, and Coast Guard regulations.
Technical Expertise

Mechanical Systems
- Volvo Penta IPS propulsion
- Volvo Penta diesel engines
- MAN diesel engines
- Shaft drive propulsion systems
- Marine transmissions
- Steering systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Bow and stern thrusters
- Stabilizer systems
- Freshwater, grey water, and sanitation systems
- Air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Marine generators including Onan, Kohler, and Fischer Panda
Electrical Systems
- 12V, 24V, and 120/240V AC electrical systems
- Shore power systems
- Battery management and charging systems
- Inverters and battery chargers
- Marine electrical troubleshooting
- Yacht automation and vessel monitoring systems
- Garmin and Simrad integrated navigation electronics
Brand Experience Preferred
- Riviera Yachts
- Sunseeker Yachts
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of marine service experience, preferably within the yacht industry.
- Advanced diagnostic abilities in electrical and mechanical marine systems.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- ABYC certification preferred.
- Manufacturer certifications are highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work aboard vessels, climb ladders, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform work in varying weather conditions.
