Job Title: Business Development Representative

Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) serves as the primary strategic liaison between the facility and the broader healthcare community. This role is responsible for the identification, cultivation, and maintenance of high-value referral partnerships with clinical professionals, hospital systems, and community organizations. The BDR must execute sophisticated market entry strategies to ensure the facility is positioned as the premier provider of outpatient medical detoxification services within the region.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Market Outreach: Execute a minimum of 30–40 weekly field engagements ("Drop-Ins", meetings, tours, etc.) at medical facilities, emergency departments, clinical facilities and all other potential referral partners to maintain brand visibility.
- Account Portfolio Management: Develop and manage a high-priority account list, utilizing a consultative sales approach to transition passive contacts into active clinical partners.
- Clinical Presentation & Education: Facilitate "Lunch & Learns" and formal educational seminars to brief multidisciplinary clinical teams on the facility’s medical protocols, safety standards, and ASAM-aligned criteria.
- Facility Advocacy & Site Tours: Coordinate and lead comprehensive facility walkthroughs for prospective referral sources to validate clinical infrastructure and foster institutional trust.
- CRM Integrity: Maintain meticulous, real-time documentation of all outreach initiatives, stakeholder data, and referral trends within the CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, Alleva.)
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct ongoing territory analysis to identify underserved market segments, evolving substance use trends, and competitor positioning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Admissions and Nursing departments to facilitate "warm handoffs," ensuring a seamless transition for referred patients into medical care.
- Professional Representation: Represent the organization at conferences, events and within the overall community.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain an exemplary driving record to accommodate extensive regional travel.
Experience:
- Professional Background: Minimum of two to five years of proven success in healthcare business development, medical sales, or behavioral health outreach preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) continuum of care and mental health parity.
- Regional Expertise: An established network of existing relationships within local hospital systems and private medical practices in [Insert Region/Georgia] is highly preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Consultative Sales Proficiency: Advanced ability to navigate complex organizational structures and engage executive-level stakeholders.
- Clinical Acumen: Ability to discuss medical withdrawal management, comfort medication protocols, and ASAM levels of care with clinical precision.
- Communication Excellence: Superior oratory skills for group presentations and a high degree of professional written correspondence.

- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of CRM systems and the Google Workspace/Microsoft Office 365 suites preferred.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
