About Pease Doors
Our family first got into the door business in the late 1800s. Since then we've learned a lot — and today we bring modern technology and genuine customer service to a legacy industry. Pease is a Cincinnati-based, direct-to-consumer door company that has shipped to more than 200,000 customers nationwide, with a brand-new showroom and a roughly 70,000 sq ft facility right here in Mariemont.
We sell entry doors, interior doors, glass inserts, and the hardware and framing that complete them — and we just opened our doors to walk-in customers. We're a lean, fast-moving team that's proud of the work, and we're looking for a sales leader to help us grow all three sides of how customers buy from us.
The Role
This is a hands-on, player-coach role — part leader, part doer. You'll own three connected channels: our customer service team, our new showroom sales floor, and our B2B / trade sales to contractors, builders, and dealers. You'll set the strategy, build the playbooks, and carry some of our most important accounts yourself. If you like closing deals as much as building the team that closes them, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Own
- Customer Service. Lead and develop our CS team, keep response times fast and answers accurate, and turn great service into repeat business and referrals. We track CS performance quarterly — you'll make those scorecards move.
- Showroom Sales. Build the playbook for our newly opened Mariemont showroom. Train the floor, set conversion targets, and make every walk-in visit feel like the easy, confident buying experience Pease is known for.
- B2B / Trade Sales. Grow our business with contractors, builders, remodelers, and dealers. Develop the pipeline, land new accounts, and personally carry key relationships that bring partners back order after order.
- Strategy & Growth. Partner directly with the Co-Presidents on pricing, forecasting, and channel strategy. Bring the data, set the targets, and own the results.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of sales experience, with a track record of hitting and growing numbers.
- 5+ years of management experience leading and developing a team.
- A genuine player-coach: happy carrying key accounts personally while building the team around you.
- Strong with both DIY homeowners and professional buyers — you can talk fit, measurement, and value without losing either audience.
- Clear, confident communicator. Practical, organized, and good with the details — measurements, specs, and pricing have to be right the first time.
- Comfortable with modern sales and service tools (CRM, e-commerce, reporting).
Preferred
- Building products experience — doors, windows, millwork, hardware, building materials, or a related category.
- Experience selling across multiple channels (DTC, retail/showroom, and trade/B2B).
- Familiarity with a high-SKU catalog and configure-to-order products.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100,000
- Uncapped performance bonus with a $20,000 target, tied to revenue and gross profit growth, B2B account development, showroom conversion, and customer satisfaction.
- Target total compensation of $120,000 — top performers earn up to $140,000+ as the business grows.
