Work Schedule:
- Monday: 8:30 - 5:30
- Tuesday: 8:30 - 5:30
- Wednesday: 8:30 - 5:30
- Thursday: 8:30 - 5:30 or 10 - 7
- Friday: 8:30 - 5:30
- Saturday: 8:30 - 4 (Paid until 4)
- Off day: Sunday + any one of the days above, depending on scheduling
Job Description: Sohns Appliance Center is seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Appliance Sales Representative to join our team in new location in Poughkeepsie, NY. If you have a passion for providing excellent customer service and enjoy working in a specialized retail environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in selecting appliances that meet their needs and preferences.
- Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Take service calls and coordinate with service to address customer issues.
- Sell appliances through various channels including in-person, over the phone, and via email.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our product offerings and stay updated on the latest trends and features.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to meet sales targets and provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay plus a 1% commission on all sales, paid out weekly.
- Eligibility to collect manufacturer spiffs for selling certain products.
- Submit manufacturer spiffs to earn additional bonus incentives for selling specific products.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using email.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
