Carter Automotive Center is seeking an experienced Master Automotive Technician to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a highly skilled technician who can accurately diagnose complex vehicle issues, perform advanced repairs, mentor junior technicians, and help drive shop productivity and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary
As a Master Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. You will lead by example, ensuring repairs are completed correctly the first time while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
This role requires strong diagnostic abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to service advisors and customers.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repair
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance concerns.
- Perform advanced engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical repairs.
- Utilize scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and service information systems.
- Conduct accurate root-cause analysis rather than relying on parts replacement.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Extensive knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Preferred
- ASE Master Technician Certification.
- Experience with domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
- Experience with ADAS diagnostics and calibration.
- State Inspector License (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience using digital vehicle inspection software and shop management systems.
