Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and cooking
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through light cleaning, laundry, and organization tasks
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive atmosphere for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities
Skills
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs assessment and medication administration
- Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism spectrum disorder support, and hospice care principles
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients’ families, healthcare teams, and social workers
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- CPR and First Aid certification to respond effectively in emergencies
