Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You’ll work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation, food safety, and timely service. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food, experienced in kitchen operations, and eager to contribute to creating memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following established recipes and standards.
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Support meal assembly and plating to ensure attractive presentation for guests.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times.
- Collaborate with team members during busy service periods to deliver prompt and quality meals.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is essential.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are important for success in this role.
- Experience with food safety standards, catering, and serving will be beneficial.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills within the food industry.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
