Duties
- Lead the development and management of Revit models for all MEP disciplines (Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical), ensuring consistency and accuracy across all project phases.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve clashes and optimize system layouts using BIM software.
- Review and validate Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical schematics, drawings, and models for compliance with project specifications and local codes.
- Utilize tools such as NavisWorks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and 2D animation to enhance model integration and visualization.
- Support construction teams by providing detailed fabrication drawings and resolving on-site issues related to MEP installations.
- Conduct regular model audits to detect conflicts early in the design process and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Assist in developing drafting standards and best practices for CAD workflows to improve project efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Revit MEP Coordinator or similar role with a strong portfolio of BIM projects explicitly involving the coordination of Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical drafting and design.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential; familiarity with NavisWorks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and 2D animation is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of construction processes and how Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical systems integrate within building structures.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to plumbing and mechanical systems design and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate complex systems across multiple disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
