Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning surfaces to maintain a pristine environment.
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met or exceeded.
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively for various surfaces and areas.
- Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas when required, including sweeping patios or walkways.
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized housekeeping services.
- Follow time management practices to complete all assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to janitorial and custodial work, ensuring a safe environment for yourself and others.
- Support housekeeping management by assisting with inventory checks and maintaining supplies.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles, with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
- Strong understanding of cleaning surfaces, floor care, and sanitation techniques.
- Proficiency in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, mops, and scrubbers.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and other cleaning agents along with proper handling methods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete duties promptly without compromising quality.
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces when needed.
- Knowledge of residential housekeeping standards combined with custodial experience enhances service delivery.
