Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lead to oversee the installation, organization, and maintenance of racking systems within our manufacturing facility. This pivotal role ensures that storage solutions are efficiently assembled, safely maintained, and properly utilized to support smooth manufacturing operations. As a Lead, you will guide a team of rackers, coordinate tasks, and uphold safety standards to optimize warehouse space and workflow. Your knowledge and factory experience will be essential in driving productivity and ensuring high-quality assembly of racking structures.
Duties
- Lead the assembly and installation of parts using hand tools, SOPs and adaptability to ensure precise and secure setup.
- Supervise a team of rackers, assigning tasks related to racking assembly, inspection, and internal systems while fostering a safe work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of existing racking structures for safety compliance and structural integrity, performing repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Utilize forklift and warehouse experience to transport materials safely within the facility for racking assembly or reorganization.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory, assembly progress, safety checks, and maintenance logs for accountability.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols by enforcing proper use of safety gear, hand and power tools, and other equipment during all activities.
- Utilize ERP systems like Acumatica to track inventory.
Skills
- Proven experience with factory or manufacturing facility operations, especially in assembly environments.
- Skilled in using hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and tasks and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Warehouse experience that includes inventory management and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to manufacturing facilities
