Corsicana Police Employment Standards and Disqualifications
The documents listed below must be included with the application when submitted to the HR/Civil Service Office:

Copy of High School Transcripts or Copy of GED

Copy of College Transcripts (if applicable)

Copy of DD-214 (if applicable) – Applicants with military service will have 5 points added to their written test score (with passing score of 70) provided they submit a DD-214 stating an Honorable Discharge

Copy of TCOLE certification or letter of enrollment from a certified TCOLE Police Academy (if applicable)
Applications are also available for pick-up, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the City of Corsicana Human Resources/Civil Service Office.

Please verify receipt of your application packet with the Civil Service Office if not submitting in person.
Upon submitting application and required documentation, applicant will receive a personal history statement that must be completed and returned on the test day.

All applicants who pass the written exam will participate in a Civil Service Pre-Employment Physical Assessment (weather permitting). A copy of the assessment is available under Civil Service Commission, Eligibility and Exams.
