The Morrison-Clark Inn, a full-service boutique hotel with 114 guestrooms and suites located near the Convention Center in Washington DC, has an excellent opportunity for a qualified Director of Sales & Marketing. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for the planning and managing of the overall sales and marketing for the hotel. The goal is to maximize total revenue and exceed hotel profit objectives. The Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel sales division including but not limited to the direct sales efforts and training of the Group Services Sales Coordinator.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
· Maintain and direct the room sales, catering, reservations and administrative staffs
· Understand Hotel room types, meeting space capacities and all revenue generating sources for the hotel
· Maintain knowledge of the hotel’s comp set and the understand the impact of events from the DC market on the hotel
· Train and develop current and new members of the Catering and Administrative staff as required
· Develop the hotel marketing plan and the revenue lines of the budget
· Set sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for REVPAR
· Yield group room rates to maximize revenue and profitability
· Work with the team on the yielding of sleeping room revenues
· Perform annual performance reviews for all staff
· Work with the catering sales manager on the maintenance of major accounts
· Ensure the catering sales manager is progressing to the achievement of all sales goals including solicitation, revenue generation and profitability
· Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events
· Be a leader and role model to all employees
· At least 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
