Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems across various facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing refrigeration units and related mechanical equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient environment while supporting property maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct equipment repairs or replacements as needed.
- Conduct field service visits for appliance repair, property maintenance, and emergency repairs across multiple sites.
- Operate welding equipment and perform mechanical tasks such as pipe fitting or component fabrication to support system repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system conditions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction, HVAC design, plumbing, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in appliance repair, boiler operation, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply technical knowledge effectively in troubleshooting scenarios.
- Field service experience working with property maintenance teams or on-site repair projects.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with welding techniques and mechanical fabrication is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) for travel between job sites as required. Pay: $29.39 - $70.00 per hour
