Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Operate material handling equipment following OSHA safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
- Use RF scanners and basic math skills to accurately track inventory movements and update warehouse management systems
- Assist with order picking by selecting items with precision for shipping or storage, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by inspecting incoming goods, verifying shipment details, and preparing items for outbound delivery
- Organize warehouse space by stacking pallets, arranging materials, and maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Support warehouse distribution activities through heavy lifting, manual handling, and the operation of various material handling equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including OSHA regulations related to warehouse work and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining proper ergonomic practices
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation purposes
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Warehouse supervisor experience or related roles is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
