Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our busy culinary environment. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen while assisting with food preparation to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety guidelines.
- Support the kitchen team with meal assembly and plating as needed to ensure timely service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain food safety standards during all stages of preparation.
- Help with cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas to uphold a hygienic environment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, mixers, and other small appliances under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods.
Skills
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production.
- Basic culinary skills such as knife handling, slicing techniques, and meal preparation are desirable.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning, handling food, or following recipes.
- Good communication skills for working collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking, food prep, and restaurant operations.
