Position Summary
As the Junior Bookkeeper at Rettinger Fireplace Systems, you will support the company’s day-to-day financial operations in a hands-on capacity. You will assist with payment processing, cash flow support, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable tasks, and accurate record-keeping in our ERP system. This entry-to-junior level role plays an important part in maintaining strong financial controls and helping the business run smoothly while supporting our premium installation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Process and record all company deposits and payment receipts, including SwipeSimple, Authorize.net, checks, and ACH payments, ensuring timely and accurate entry into Striven (ERP system)
Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoice follow-up, vendor bill processing, and helping keep outstanding balances current
Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and basic financial reporting for review by the Finance Manager or General Manager
Help maintain accurate financial records in Striven and other systems, including support for month-end and year-end close processes
Support payroll coordination and expense tracking as needed
Assist with annual audits, tax preparation, and financial reviews
Help maintain the warranty program records to ensure proper tracking of labor and inventory costs
Perform other bookkeeping and administrative finance tasks as assigned, with a focus on accuracy and organization
Qualifications & Requirements
1+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related administrative finance role (recent graduates with strong internships or relevant coursework will be considered)
Associate’s degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Basic familiarity with ERP systems (Striven experience is a plus) and payment processing platforms
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, eager to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a small team
Compensation
Salary Range: $22.00 – $30.00 base (commensurate with experience and certifications). Potential performance bonuses
