Duties
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to handle retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos and upselling opportunities
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and displayed for easy access
- Conduct product demonstrations when needed to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Assist in merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring store presentation aligns with brand standards
- Use effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and participating in periodic stock counts
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in Giftshops or similar fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in guiding team members or managing shifts
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and promote sales opportunities
- Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
