We are currently seeking an Experienced, Safety conscious, Class B Tank Wagon Driver with an excellent driving record, solid work ethic, and positive attitude to deliver fuel to various construction sites, farms, and other wholesale and retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tank trucks to transport and deliver liquid fuel to customer sites, ensuring the delivery schedule is met.
- Load and unload liquid products, ensuring correct quantities are delivered and proper safety measures are followed.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the truck and tank are in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel levels, mileage, and other required documentation in compliance with local regulations.
- Ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are strictly followed during transport and at delivery sites.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies regarding driving, vehicle maintenance, and environmental safety.
- Handle customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License CDL A or B with required endorsements HazMat, Tanker.
- Proven experience as a tank wagon driver or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of road safety, traffic regulations, and vehicle operation.
- Ability to safely operate a truck with a tank, including knowledge of fueling systems and load management.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads as required for loading/unloading.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Availability for flexible work hours, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience transporting hazardous materials or chemicals.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and engines.
- Certification in hazardous material handling
Working Conditions:
- Travel to various locations, sometimes in remote areas or inclement weather conditions.
- Regular lifting and physical activity associated with loading and unloading.
- This position is largely self-directed and requires understanding of company policy, procedures and values.
- Driver will be required to adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments.
- While performing the duties of this position, the driver will be exposed to moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and exposed to chemicals.
