We are a growing outpatient detox and substance use treatment program dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to support patients through detoxification, stabilization, and long-term recovery planning in a supportive and patient-centered environment.
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals achieve lasting recovery and is committed to delivering high-quality care while fostering hope, accountability, and positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and substance use evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and clinical recommendations.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups focused on recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, and wellness.
- Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Relapse Prevention Strategies
- Crisis Intervention Techniques
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, case managers, and other members of the treatment team to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide ongoing support and education to patients and their families regarding addiction, recovery, and community resources.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, ethical standards, and state and federal regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, outpatient services, or inpatient treatment settings preferred.
- Experience providing individual, group, and family counseling.
- Strong understanding of addiction, co-occurring mental health disorders, and recovery-oriented care.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches including CBT, MI, relapse prevention, and crisis intervention.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual patient engagement.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, clinical documentation, treatment planning, and data collection.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outpatient detoxification, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), addiction treatment, or behavioral health settings.
- Experience working with diverse populations and family systems.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to behavioral health and substance use treatment.
- Experience facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups.
