Job Description:
Horizon Staffing Solutions is currently searching for school Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to work in a Nassau County, NY school. School CNAs provide one to one support services to students under the general supervision of a certified teacher.
Job Details:
- 1:1 assignment in the school
- School CNA
- Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
The role of the school-based CNA is to assist with daily living activities of one or more students. They help with personal care tasks like dressing, feeding or toileting. Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
- Reinforcing behavior through the use of positive behavior support
- Teaching daily living skills such as independent feeding, dressing, toileting
- Collecting data documenting student behavior for instructional purposes
- Providing language assistance for bilingual students
School CNA Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- CNA License in New York required
- Good organizational skills
- Good writing skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 per hour
