Job Summary
Northeast Oral Surgery & Implant Center is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our growing oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. Our assistants play an essential role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting our surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and IV sedation
- Assist the surgeon during oral surgery procedures, including extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, biopsies, and other surgical treatments
- Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical histories
- Set up and break down surgical operatories while maintaining sterile technique
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and CDC infection control standards
- Take panoramic radiographs and CBCT scans (certification required)
- Provide post-operative instructions and safely discharge patients
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with providers and fellow team members
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program or prior dental assisting experience
- Oral surgery experience preferred, but not required
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
- Radiology certification required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and reliability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
